“I pray that Iowa will take the studies from responsible states like New Mexico program. There are so many scientific studies from different universities all over the country and the world on the positive use of cbd and thc for medical use and also agricultural uses. It must be regulated thats the responsible thing to do like tagging plants for tracking and security, as well as as licensing which will keep everyone in check. I don’t believe in full legalization but for medical use yes I would like to see it legalized and classification changed. It must be regulated. With the other states around Iowa looking into legalization that creates a whole new problem for Iowa as far as state to state travel people who are traveling through or to Iowa who have a card for medical marijuana is all the sudden labeled as a criminal all states must be in tune together to make this a country if that means legalization then so be it as long as it’s regulated.”

  1. “Total legalization of marijuana for recreational use.” Does that scare/shock you in any way? To many people it does. That fear is invalid and was put in your mind by the prohibiting and criminalization of marijuana not the truth or the facts. When you hear the word marijuana you react. How is based on your experiences, education and beliefs. We really need a neutral word and it is obviously cannabis. Marijuana is a commodity and should be treated as such. That, however, is impossible in our society where the word you use causes an emotional reaction. Time to undo the branding of marijuana and brand us a new name. Take note of what it is called when removed from Schedule I, Marihuana.
