Here’s a testimonial from a medical professional here in Iowa:
“I am a medical professional who has worked both in the inpatient setting and currently in the home care setting. I also have friends who have a young daughter with infantile spasms (severe seizures) that severely limit her functional capacity or ability to develop normally. They are currently in Colorado and have started Cannabis oil, already seeing improvements in their daughter as she begins to wean from one of her several seizure medications.
I have never used cannabis or any other illegal drug for that matter a day in my life, nor do I intend to. However, I see many of my patients on a long list of medications with very negative side effects, some even life threatening if not taken correctly and many medications that are addicting and habit forming. In comparison to those, cannabis is benign and shows amazing potential, particularly in the seizure population.
It is absolutely worth reclassifying, studying further and allowing regulated use. If there is concern over people abusing legalized marijuana, that will not be the case as the Cannabis oil is very low in THC, the component that causes the “high”. Please consider this so our friends could come back to their home state of Iowa with their daughter and so that other families have access to potentially life saving interventions.”
