The government shutdown that was mentioned in a previous post has occurred.  The Board office will remain closed until further notice. The Board Web site and e-mail server had to be taken down. Even though the Board was powerless to prevent a shutdown, I nevertheless apologize to all of the people who use our services who will be negatively affected by the shutdown. When the shutdown is over and Board staff is recalled to work, we will make every effort to quickly resume operations so that applicants can be licensed and complaints can be investigated. This is the last post that I can write until the shutdown ends. Since I cannot manage this page during the shutdown, I will be temporarily disabling comments. Again, on behalf of the Board, I am truly sorry for the inconvenience and hardship that the shutdown may be causing any of the people that we serve.
